Driveway Leveling in Baton Rouge

The panel next to the garage drops, the one by the street tilts, and suddenly there’s a lip that catches the lawn mower and the kids’ bikes. Instead of breaking it out and pouring new concrete, we lift the panels you already have.

Driveway leveling typically costs $800–$1,800 for a partial driveway (about 200 sq ft) and $1,800–$4,100 for a full one (about 450 sq ft) with mudjacking. Polyurethane foam costs more per square foot but cures faster and weighs less.

Why driveways sink

The soil next to your garage slab was dug out when the foundation was formed and backfilled afterward — often loosely. It keeps settling for years. Add a downspout discharging at the garage corner, or yard runoff crossing the drive, and water washes fines out from under the panel. The panel drops and tilts toward the void.

How we lift it

We drill small holes at planned points across the sunken panels, then pump in a cement-based slurry (mudjacking) or expanding polyurethane foam. The panel rises while we watch a string line, stopping when it’s back in plane with the garage slab and its neighbors. The holes are patched, and the control joints and cracks are sealed with flexible sealant so rain can’t get under and start the process again. With foam you can usually drive on it the same day.

When to replace instead

If a panel is broken into several pieces, badly spalled or heaved by tree roots, lifting won’t give a good result and replacement is the better spend. We’ll tell you which panels are worth lifting. For patios, walks and pool decks, see concrete leveling.
